We have commissioned 4 new videos available here explaining the types of hate crime in society today.

The Newport Hate Crime Forum works to:-

  • Protect and Support Victims
  • Make Offenders Accountable
  • Prevent Hate Crime
  • Engage People in Valuing Difference

  • A Hate Crime incident is any offence committed against a person or property, which is motivated by the offender's hatred of people because they are seen as being different.

You can be a victim of Hate Crime because of prejudice against your race, language, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Reporting hate crime is important – to get support for the victim, to bring a perpetrator to account, to stop it happening. If we don’t know about it we can’t change it.

Anybody can report hate crime – a victim, witness, friend, colleague, passer-by…

You can report hate crime by completing the Report Hate Crime Form or contact us for help or advice by telephone or e-mail.
